PoorSoul was born in ’87 and raised up in south Germany. He started singing at an early age. While he was listening to an old tape by BoyzIIMen, he was so fascinated and thrilled, that he decided to become a singer hisself. That’s when he discovered his unconditional love for music, and there was no doubt about what he wants to do – music. Not even one single day has passed without singing and trying to bring his vocal skills to the next level.

Inspired by musicians like BoyzIIMen, Blackstreet, R Kelly, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Jamie Foxx and many more, he steadily tempted to discover his own style. But the truth is, there is not one single style, PoorSoul claims his own. He always sang so many different songs and was inspired by so many different artist, which made him to imitate some of them very well, in the beginning. Today, PoorSoul doesn’t limit him self on one style. Whatever seems to touch him, and whatever he feels like, he sings. Though he feels most comfortable with RnB, Soul and Gospel. Therefore his music can be seen a mix out of Gospel, RnB, Soul, Funk and HipHop.

Many people wonder at his name – PoorSoul. It’s based on his deep belief in God. Himself explains it like this: “I try to be a poor and clean soul. You know, PoorSoul means being humble, forgiving, afectionate and always to love and serve your neighbors and friends. Thereby I want to show my honour, adoration, gratefulness and respect to our creation”.

His music is deep and honest. His voice emotional and sincere. The most important thing for him as an artist is constant growth. He knows, that life is an livelong process of learning and development. Sharing experience and picking up new styles and inspiration, is a crucial part of his musical identity.

PoorSoul loves music and everything that comes along with it. He desires to touch people, open people’s eyes, and to call the spotlight to what is really important in our lives, through his music. His intention is to make people feel pleased and cheerful. He says: “The sun shines everyday, but sometimes it’s to cloudy to really feel it”. But he also sings about sad moments, about losing a loved one, about unhappy love affairs or simply about death itself. He wants us to remember that pain, sorrows, suffering and passing away, are also significant parts of our being, which is why he keeps emphasising to live responsible.

A new chapter has began in Poorsoul’s life. He knows that he can make it, works with very ambitious people and never backs away from challanges pushing him to the limit: “It’s not a shame to make mistakes, but it’s a shame not to correct this mistakes! A challenge proves who you really are!”
